Well, you’re in luck. Hotels in Warwick tend to be historic, comfortable, cosy and full of charm. You can find some big name budget hotels on the outskirts, but this list covers the best hotels right in the centre of Warwick.

Best of all? Most of them are traditional English pubs, which still have the same function as they did hundreds of years ago: as comfortable inns where travellers when rest, sleep and enjoy a good pint of beer.

The Old Fourpenny Shop Hotel

Address: 27-29 Crompton Street, Warwick CV34 6HJ, England

Price: From £90 per night

Website: https://www.4pennyhotel.co.uk/hotels-in-warwick/

First on our list is one of the top-rated hotels in all of Warwick. Travellers cannot stop raving about the Four Penny Hotel, found inside the Four Penny Pub (no surprise there). Hidden next to Warwick Racecourse, the pub itself is a beautiful, traditional public house, with plenty of drinks and food available to revellers.

But further on, you’ll find a wide selection of rooms, from small doubles to large family rooms, all furnished to a high standard.

Warwick town centre is just a short walk away, as well as Warwick Castle, but since the pub is found on a residential street, you can expect a quiet night away from the crowds.

Warwick Arms Hotel

Address: 17 High St, Warwick CV34 4AT

Price: From £90 per night

Website: https://warwickarmshotel.com/hotel-warwick/

One of Warwickshire’s oldest hotels. The Warwick Arms had stood on this spot since Elizabethan times, and has connections to former Earls of Warwick. Starting a coaching inn, and even briefly becoming a government building during World War 2, the Warwick Arms is the most recognisable hotel in Warwick.

Right on High Street, you are just a short distance from the shops, and major attractions and experiences, including The Weird Walk of Warwick.

As a larger hotel, expect plenty of staff in the bar, restaurant and hotel team ready to make your stay an enjoyable one.

Rumour has it some of the upper floors contain haunted activity, so history lovers and spook enjoyers will feel right at home in this historic building.

The Old Coffee Tavern

Address: 16 The Old Square, Warwick, Warwickshire, United Kingdom, CV34 4RA

Price: From £74 per night (with member’s rate)

Website: https://theoldcoffeetavern.co.uk/

One of our favourite pubs in Warwick, also happens to be one of the nicest hotels! Right in the shadow of St Marys Church, The Old Coffee Tavern has arguably the best location of any hotel in Warwick.

Found inside a gorgeous 19th century building, the atmosphere (or vibes) of the tavern are second-to-none, with great food, great beer and a luscious beer garden at the back.

The hotel rooms form part of what used to be a social club for members of society wishing to avoid alcohol (ironically) but are now finished to a tasteful and modern standard.

The Old Coffee Tavern is very popular, so those looking for excitement, adventure and to be close to the party should consider staying here.

The Rose and Crown

Address: 30 Market Place, Warwick, CV34 4SH

Look up “pub” in the dictionary, and The Rose and Crown will be what you find. Cosy, rustic and of the highest standard, if you’re spending a few days in Warwick, don’t feel guilty for having at least one of your meals here each day.

With an extensive menu of pub classics and comfort food, you can sit and enjoy the ambience of a truly traditional English pub, any time of the day.

The rooms can be defined as “countryside chic”, with tartan, free standing baths and even dog-friendly rooms for your furry friends!

The Globe

Address: 10 Theatre St, Warwick CV34 4DP

Price: From £70 per night

Website: https://www.theglobewarwick.co.uk/rooms

There’s a great word the English like to use, “posh”. It mans fancy, high-end, classy! The Globe feels “posh”, but only in the best kind of way.

Despite the reasonable price of a room, stepping inside you’ll find a meticulously designed interior, with smartly dressed, friendly staff and an impressive food menu, not to mention the gorgeous bar which can whip up your favourite cocktail in no time.

The hotel rooms of The Globe have been considerately decorated, with every inch considered. You’ll find furniture, lighting and colour schemes that beg to be instagrammed.

Once again, you’re right in the centre of town, and near popular haunts such as The Eagle, Warwick’s smallest pub!

The King’s Head

Address: 39 Saltisford, Warwick, Warwickshire, CV34 4TD

Price: From £80 per night

Website: https://www.thekingsheadwarwick.co.uk/

A 400 year old inn, right on the outskirts of the town centre (aka a 2-minute walk to the market square). But despite looking and feeling like an old, traditional pub, The King’s Head offers a vibrant menu of Spanish cuisine, which is hard to beat!

There’s an extensive outdoor area too, ideal for the warmer weather. And for those looking to get the most out of their trip to England, there is a large supermarket nearby, so you can stock up on English drinks, sweets and snacks.

The King’s Head is a firm favourite with locals, with a very traditional interior. Cosy, cool and inviting!

The Tilted Wig

Address: 11 Market Place – Warwick – CV34 4SA

Price: From £110 per night

Website: https://www.tiltedwigwarwick.co.uk/our-story

It’s hard to miss The Tilted Wig when you’re in Warwick. Located slap bang in the middle of the market square, you will either see a lot of people enjoying their food and drink in the outdoor seating in front, or hear a huge party taking place late at night round the back.

The Titled Wig is a must-visit as a pub, and a book-quick as a hotel. Despite it’s party atmosphere, the whole pub is immaculate. A 17th Century inn, it doesn’t look to have aged a day, it’s safe to say you will be well looked after here.

Visiting on a weekend? Then make sue you get a Sunday Roast. Rooms here are limited, so book now before they’re gone.
